Your data is your data and what little of it I do have, I will look after as if it is my own.
In this user friendly guide I will explain what I do and don’t do with regards to customer data:
What?
What personal information do I hold?
If you fill out my contact form I will have your name, email address and any other personal information you give to me in your message. If you book me as your photographer I am likely to hold a few more pieces of information such as your phone number and your address. I will of course have photographs of you once you had had your session.
What do I do with it?
You personal data is not shared with any third party without your explicit consent. Two examples of this could be;
- posting your photographs on social media or on my website will only be done when explicitly authorised by you on my model release form.
- If you order prints or other photo products your a) name b) address c) telephone number will be shared with the printers in order for the product to be delivered to you
What am I doing to keep it secure?
Your data is only held on a password protected email system and a computer that is also password protected. All companies I use are GDPR complaint.

Who is collecting data on you?
Only me, Sally Lucy, there is nobody else as I am a sole trader.
Who will I share it with?
I will not share your personal details or publish your photographs without explicit consent.
Why?
Why do I need to collect that data?
All the data I collect is in order to run my business smoothly. Data will never be sold or transferred or any reason other than to service you as a customer and in the provision of your photographs.
Payment / Financial information:
Financial information is processed in 4 ways by Sally Lucy Photography. Cash, Bank Transfer, PayPal or ‘Invoice to Go’ Payment. All payments will be recorded on an app / website called ‘Invoice2Go’. This is to ensure Tax compliance, auditing purposes and in order to facilitate the running of the business. This will be retained for statutory periods as set out by UK Governments HMRC. If payment is by BANK TRANSFER - You bank details will NOT be retained on any IT system by Sally Lucy Photography. My Bank account will retain that transfer information however HSBC are fully GDPR compliant.
All orders and subsequent payments will result in the creation of an invoice on ‘invoice2Go’. This retains information such as name, address, email address and telephone numbers.
Your Photographs:
Your photographs will be retained by the business in order to facilitate the smooth running of the business and facilitate future orders. Once your photographs have been edited they are placed on a secure password protected gallery. Your photographs will not be shared with any third party or used for promotional purposes without your explicit consent.
